Membership of the Virgil Society
Membership costs 15 GBP per year and, subscriptions support the work of the Virgil Society in bringing Virgil to as wide an audience as possible. Attendance at our meetings is open to all, whether in person or online. Members are entitled to the twice-a-year newsletter.
In addition, we publish a journal, Proceedings of the Virgil Society, which is normally published every three years. Unfortunately, postage prices to Europe and the wider World have increased considerably in recent years and we have had to modify our previous free offer for sending this journal out to new members.
From now on a ‘free’ copy will be sent to members in
the UK on joining
Europe in the second year of membership
the wider World in the third year of membership.
Should members in Europe and the wider World wish a copy earlier than this we have reluctantly to ask for the cost of postage to be sent. As of April 2026 the cost of postage to Europe is £10.25 and to the wider World £19.25.
